Does Advertising Work?
A million dollar question. No body had the answers. Yet, barring Anita Roddick, and may be closer home Shehnaz Hussain, hardly any brand has been created without major mass or social media advertising. So why don’t some of the best known brands take the Body Shop route? And like Shenaz Hussain address major US universities about how to create a brand with out “real” advertising.
Actually, we see the advertising process as a visiting card. It says all about you. And like graphology, you can read a person’s character by looking at the card. Ultimately, it is the value that the person delivers gives us the correct assessment about the person or the organisation.
Similarly, you must have a genuine value added product or a service before you try to sell it and hopefully make a success out of the business. Advertising adds that value. You create the product/service, advertising adds the value..
